Who will want to make free plugins like Yanfly did for the new engine? I am sure a lot of folks like to think they will give it a shot, but that was a serious amount of work and skill to do what he did for the community, and for not much reward. Most of those early plugin developers have moved on.If this functionality is not shipped out of the box with MZ then how useful is going to really be? With RPGMaker MZ how do you think is going to play out? There are a LOT of plugins providing functionality that should have been in the engine already. We almost forget that these features are not part of the engine.Ī small handful of developers and their hard work were responsible for making this possible, Yanfly, Galv and a few others, etc. Over a couple of years a lot of these very FUNDAMENTAL features were added to the engine with these mostly free plugins, which today we take for granted. However, via it's nice plugin architecture design the engine was able to rely heavily on the developer community to create this, over time.
